イタリアングレーハウンドにも白い毛は生えてきます😊
でも毎日たくさんの子を見ていると「みんな同じじゃないんだな」と感じることがあります。
ある子は口元から。
ある子は目の周りから。
ある子は体に少しずつ。
そして、うちのコタローは…まさかの頭のてっぺんから😂
最初は「なんでそこ!?」と思って笑ってしまいました。
バロンは2歳頃から口元が少しずつ白くなり始め、ビルは同じ年齢でもほとんど変化なし。
年齢だけでは説明できない違いがあって、もしかすると家系や体質も関係しているのかな、と感じています。
もちろん、これは我が家でたくさんのイタグレたちを見てきた中で感じていること。
まだ研究で詳しく分かっているわけではありません。
でも、だからこそ面白い。
「○歳だからこうなる」ではなく、その子だけの年齢の重ね方があるんだなと思っています☺️

Italian Greyhounds also develop gray and white hairs as they age.
But after watching many dogs over the years, I’ve realized something.
No two dogs age the same way.
Some start around the muzzle.
Some around the eyes.
Some gradually across the body.
And one of ours?
He started on the top of his head!
It made us laugh, but it also reminded us that every dog ages in their own unique way.
Age is only part of the story.
Genetics and individual differences may also play a role.
Watching these small changes is one of the joys of living with dogs.
