イタリアングレーハウンドの「シール」と「ブラック」
一見どちらも黒っぽく見えるため同じように見えることも多いカラーです。
この2つは持っている色素の種類が違います。

ブラックは黒の色素（ユーメラニン）のみを持つカラー。

一方でシールは黒の中に茶色の色素（フェオメラニン）も含まれているため光の当たり方や動きによって、ほんのりブラウンが浮かび上がることがあります。

・光に当たった時の見え方
・鼻やアイラインの色味
・全体の印象

こういった部分に違いが出てきます。

一見すると似ているカラーでも背景にある“色素の違い”を知ることで見え方の理由が分かってきます。
これも一つの見方として参考になれば嬉しいです。

Seal vs Black in Italian Greyhounds.

At first glance, both colors can look very similar,
but they are actually different.

Black contains only eumelanin (black pigment).

Seal, on the other hand,
contains both eumelanin (black) and pheomelanin (brown).

Because of this, seal may appear slightly brown
depending on lighting and movement.

This difference can be seen in:

* how the coat reflects light
* nose and eyeliner color
* overall impression

Even if two dogs look similar,
their genetic background can be different.
